How do I delete my account myself?
Use the button below. You enter the address you signed up with, we email a confirmation link to that address, and opening the link deletes your record immediately and permanently. Nothing is flagged or archived.
The confirmation step exists because sign-up here is email-only with no password. Without it, anyone who knew your address could delete your record.
What gets deleted?
- Your email address.
- Your verification status and the date you signed up.
- Any unsubscribe or deletion token attached to your record.
- Your unlock session, so the browser returns to its signed-out state.
Chart results are never sent to us. They are calculated in your browser and, where you chose to keep them, stored on your own device. Clearing your browser data for this site removes those.
What if I cannot access that inbox?
Then use the contact form. We will delete your record whether or not you can open that inbox, so nobody is locked out of erasing their own data. It takes longer than the link because a person handles it.
Can I just stop the emails instead?
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and using it deletes your record outright rather than merely marking it as unsubscribed. So unsubscribing and deleting reach the same result.
Questions people ask about deleting their record
Is deletion permanent?
Yes. The row is removed from the database rather than marked as deleted, so there is no archived copy to restore and no retention period. If you sign up again later it is a new record, starting from nothing. This is deliberate: a privacy page that promises deletion and then keeps a copy is making a promise the code does not keep.
Why do I need to confirm by email?
Because sign-up here uses an email address and no password, so typing an address proves nothing about who is typing it. Without a confirmation step, anyone who knew your address could delete your record, and the form itself would become a way to test which addresses are on file. The link is sent to the address itself, which is the only identity check available.
How long does the deletion link last?
24 hours. After that it stops working and you would request a new one. The link can only be used once: opening it deletes the record, which also invalidates the token. If a link has expired or already been used, the page says so rather than failing silently.
Will you tell me whether my address was on file?
No, and that is intentional. The page gives the same answer whether or not the address exists in our records. Confirming which addresses are registered would turn the form into a lookup tool for anyone curious about someone else. If your address is on file, the email arrives; if it is not, nothing happens.
Do I lose access to the tools?
No. Every calculator, guide and chart on this site is free to use without an account. Deleting your record removes you from the email list and returns your browser to its signed-out state, which means the sign-up prompt may reappear after a few uses. The tools themselves keep working exactly as before.
